Services planned for Georgia Fields

Georgia Ilene Fields died February 11 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was 69 years old.

Born in Letcher County, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Lizzie Cook Webb and the widow of Clyde Fields. She was the mother of the late James Edward Bryant and Mary Ellen Collins, and a sister of the late J.L. Webb, Eddie Webb, Norma Jean Webb, Eva Dean Hall, and Mae Tyree. She was also the great-grandmother of the late Payton Ashton Sturgill.

Funeral services will be held February 14 at the King’s Chapel Church. Burial will be in the Cook family cemetery at Dry Fork.

Survivors include two sons, Clyde David Fields and wife Heather, Mallie, and Carl Randall Fields and wife Marcella, Kingscreek; four daughters, Mildred Brown, Phoenix, Ariz.; Elizabeth Baker, Whitesburg; Dianna Jane Sandlin and husband Sherrell, and Beverly Sue Fields, all of Dry Fork; three sons-in-law, Jimmy “Bo” Brown, Crossville, Tenn.; Billy Baker, Pert Creek; and John David Collins, Cowan; six sisters, Juanita Lucas, Betty Stidham, Ann Perkins, Wanda Maloney, Madge Howard, and Margie Bryant; five brothers, Joe Webb, Ken Webb, Glenn Webb, Johnny Webb, and Darlis “Doc” Webb; 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
