Carrie Willa Fleming Baker, 84, died June 14 at her residence at Thornton.
Born in Pike County, she was a daughter of the late “Big” Bill and Nannie Stewart Fleming.
Mrs. Baker enjoyed gardening, cooking, and a daily three-mile walk.
Surviving are her husband, Ray Baker; two sons, Randall Baker and wife Kathy and Rondall Baker and wife Missy, all of Thornton; two sisters, Wanda Damron of Lorain, Ohio and Ruby Boggs of Millstone; three grandchildren, LaRanda (Tabby), Cody (Maggie), Holly (Jordan); and two great-grandchildren, Eli and Acacia.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers, Arnold, Grady, Virgil, Junior, Leo, Silas, Fred, and Harold, and five sisters, Della, Myrtle, Bessie, Ollie, and Fayetta.
Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 17) at Letcher Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Baker family cemetery at Thornton.
