Services set for Christopher Sexton

Former Letcher County resident Christopher Anthony Isaac “Chunky” Sexton, 29, of Appalachia, Va., died September 8 in Appalachia, Va.

Born in Whitesburg, he was a son of Angela Cook Hall of Appalachia, Va., and the late Ansley Sexton. He was also preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bud Isaac Cook and Ralph Sexton.

Mr. Sexton was an avid University of Kentucky fan.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his father figure, Jonathan Bentley of Harold; a sister, Nicole Rose and husband Jason of Appalachia, Va.; maternal grandmothers, Patricia Stamper of Monticello, and Sandy Cook of St. Paul, Va.; paternal grandmother, Sally Sexton of Whitesburg; a niece, Jaselynn Rose; a nephew, Elijah Rose; and aunts and uncles, Aimee and Steve, Lori, Jason, James and Curtis.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 12, at Polly & Craft Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial will be in the Sam Bentley Cemetery at Payne Gap.

Carty Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
