Claude Collins, 68, of Sandlick, died April 16 at his residence.
A son of the late Zee and Effie Noble Collins, he was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony Collins; a daughter, Recca Sexton; a brother, Robert Collins; and a sister, Shelia Conn.
Surviving are his wife, Maxine Shell Collins; two sons, Teddy Collins and fiancée Brooklyn Jones and Dusty Shell and wife Rebecca of Buck Creek; four daughters, Elizabeth Prator of Prestonsburg, Claudia and Doug McCall of Haymond, Melissa Adams and Scott Taylor, and Brandy Shell of Woodrock; six brothers, Cull Collins of Sandlick, Barthell Collins and wife Lille of Pinetop,
Roger Collins and wife Shirley of Neon, Ted Collins and Mary of Little Colley, Don Collins of Pistol City, and Jeff Collins and Dorothy of Sandlick; four sisters, Ernestine Combs and husband Bufford of Little Colley, Creda Lucas and husband Stanley of Campbranch, Bobbie Lucas and husband James of Dry Fork, and Brenda Smith of Sandlick; seven grandchildren, Zadee, Jayden, Megan, Destiny, Savanna, Mick, and MacKenzie, and a number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Little Colley Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery at Colson.
