Funeral services for Corbin Maggard, 81, of Neon, will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Moore’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in McRoberts. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Whitesburg.
A son of the late Asble and Mae Clem Maggard, he died September 22 at the Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
He was the widower of Stella Childers Maggard, and was later married to Jonell Johnson Maggard, who also preceded him in death.
He was a brother of the late Boyce Maggard Boyd Maggard, Julius Maggard, Jimmy Maggard, Orbin Maggard, Myrtle Abdoo and Marie Frost.
Mr. Maggard was a member of Moore’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church for 25 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherrie Wilder and husband Jonny of McRoberts, and Robin Mullins and husband Mitchell of Whitaker; three grandchildren, Jared Wilder and wife Kayla, Coty Mullins and wife April, and Katelyn Mullins; and three great-grandchildren, Peyton Wilder, Sophia Wilder and Colt Mullins.
