Services set for Louise Johnson

Emma Louise Crase Johnson, 88, of Somerset, died February 5 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Known as “ Ibby”, she was born in Neon to the late Benjamin Hayes and Alpha Myrtle Wallen Crase. She was the widow of F.M. “Fossil” Johnson and a sister in-law of the late Lester Bentley.

She was a member of the Jenkins First Baptist Church and was a retired schoolteacher in Letcher County and Jenkins Independent School Systems.

Surviving are a sister, Joey C. Bentley, of Somerset; three nephews, Ben Bentley and wife Sally, of Rutledge, Tenn., Jim Bentley and wife Teresa, of Somerset; and John T. Bentley and wife Gaye, of Jenkins; a niece, Amy Louise Penn and husband Steve, of Winchester; and a number of great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 14 in Somerset. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
