NOVELLA HALCOMB
Novella Halcomb, 80, of Thornton, died March 8 at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Lorn and Margie Brashears Banks.
Surviving are her husband, Herbert Halcomb; a son, Loran Monroe Sturgill of Sandlick; two daughters, Twona Gail Sturgill of Whitesburg and Tracy Ludema Johnson of Big Stone Gap, Va.; two brothers, Donnie Banks of Cincinnati, Ohio and Bobby Banks of Whitesburg; two sisters, Janice Duncan of Albany and Susie Stamper of Columbus, Ind.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 12, at Letcher Funeral Home. Visitation is at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Forgiven Ministries. Burial will follow in the Obie Fields Cemetery at Cowan.
