Services set for Walter Kendall Cook



Funeral services for Walter Kendall Cook, 64, of Eaton, Ohio will be held today (Wednesday) in Eaton.

He died May 14 at Hospice of Dayton.

A son of the late Elmer and Maxie Gant Cook, he was a brother of the late Denver Cook.

Born in Whitesburg, he was a graduate of Whitesburg High School and a U.S. Army veteran, and served in Germany.

He was retired from General Motors, and was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Na- tional Muzzleloaders Rifle Association, and the Woodcarvers Association.

Surviving are his wife, Janet Winland Cook; two sons, Brian Cook and wife Lisa of Columbus, Oh., and Greg Cook of Eaton, Oh.; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Evan, Olivia, Alex and Patrick Cook, all of Eaton, Oh., and Arielle, Torie and Katie Moran, all of Columbus, Oh.; two brothers, Harold Cook and wife Lena of Dayton, Oh., and Wayne Cook and wife Linda of Talequah, Okla.; seven sisters, Merita Cope and husband Bill of Richmond, Emily Hartzell and husband Dan of Lancaster, Calif., Sue Sampson and husband Mike of Aptos, Calif., Julia DeHart and husband Steve of West Alexandria, Oh., Teresa Garwood and husband Gary, Kathy Johnson and husband Ed, and Judy Cook, all of Eaton, Oh.; and a sisterin law, Marilyn Eason of Harrison, Oh.
