Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a great week.
I want to wish Melissa Nicely a happy fifth birthday, Sept. 11. She is the granddaughter of Wayne and Tammy Turner of Ingram’s Creek. I hope you enjoyed your day, sweetie, and enjoy your visit with Mamaw and Papaw.
Also, Adron Michael Lee Roberts will be three years old Sept. 17. He is the grandson of Ruby Lewis Partin. I knew she loves you and misses you, as well as the rest of her grandchildren. Have a fun day.
Tommy Day of Brown County, Ind., will be 64 Sept 18. I hope you have a very good and healthy birthday.
Happy birthday to Willis King from all your family on Sept. 18. Have a great day. Also, Marvin ‘Bubbles’ Taylor Jr. has a birthday Sept. 19. I hope you enjoy it.
Audrey and Charles Hammonds were in this past week, as well as Ricky and Stacy Dobson, for a visit as well as personal business.
Lots of stuff going on in September. I would have liked to gone to the Gingerbread Festival in Hindman, but I didn’t make it. I am not much for the car shows, but my son Mike and Melinda went and enjoyed it. He enjoys the burnouts.
Mountain Heritage Festival will be here soon. Hopefully I will be able to attend it. We need to make a trip to Indiana, but I’m not sure when that will be. Our son Chad and family keep wanting us to come.
Hello to all the readers of The Mountain Eagle. I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the cooler weather. I was going to talk to the publisher of The Mountain Eagle about putting a booth at the festival and letting the writers work there and pass out free papers, but never got around to it. I thought some of you would like that. If interested, we will see if we can do it next year, and see if they will sponsor us.
A tent revival will be going on this week by Rite-Aid with Glennis Morris and Donald Harding. Try to attend if you can. Big Cowan
Please pray for all your families, friends and neighbors this week, and thank God we still have our freedom. The Bible is being fulfilled more every day.
I had a nice visit with my sister Kathy and her husband Eddie Wolfe, then went to my brother Archie Ray Fields’s house in the evening and had a good visit on Saturday. Margaret was at church and I did not see her.
Amber and Colton Trent and her fiancé, Brad Jackson, went on vacation this past week. I’ll bet Margaret and Hager Trent were lost without Colton. I hope they had lots of fun.
Well folks, have a good week. Until next time I am signing off.
P.S. A happy 55th birthday to Eddie Wolfe, Sept. 15.
