Black Sheep Bakery and good drug free (chemical preservative free) bread is coming.
We, the Black Sheep, traveled to Smoky Mt. Bakery in Roan Mountain, Tenn., this past Saturday to get pointers from the bakers there. They gave us some trade secrets on making their great pizza and bread. We had a great meal there and were able to see that “if you bake it they will come” to off-the-beaten track places like their place and Hemphill Community Center. We are getting ready to “throw down”. You are going to love it.
The brick mason is diligently working and tweaking to assure the oven is correct. We are told that after completion it will take a couple of weeks for the masonry to cure before we can fire it. Hold on…Rome wasn’t built in a day.
We are working on our bread meanwhile. Baguettes last week and pizza crust this week. We aim to please!!!
We are going to finally own what we make! (Letcherculture.org)
