Shirley Ann Calhoun, 72, of Jenkins, were held November 21 at Polly & Craft Funeral Home in Jenkins.
Born in Burdine to the late Delman Calvin and Nettie Hunt Ratliff, she died November 18 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was the widow of Dixon “Dick” Calhoun and a sister of the late Edith Ellis, Gladys Bryant, Vondall Ratliff and George Ratliff.
Mrs. Calhoun was a long time member of the Burdine Church of God of Prophecy, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also enjoyed bird watching and gardening.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Stanley and husband Jeff of Columbus, Ohio, and Brandi Wilson and husband Brian of Morristown, Tenn.; a son, Robert Calhoun of Burdine; four sisters, Alice Stallons of Jefferson City, Tenn., Mary Sutton and husband Bob of East Ridge, Tenn., Garrie Triplett and husband Bobby of Ecorse, Mich., and Doris Evelyn Brady and husband Tommy of Lincolnton, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Audrey, Levi, Celina, Tyler, Ashley, Mallory, Abner, and Caroline; three greatgrandchildren, Jude, Odyn, and Veronica; and friend, Debbie Elswick of Burdine.
Burial was in the Vanover Cemetery at Burdine.
