Shoppers beware!

Regional center get three new traffic cameras

Letcher County residents who shop in the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee have long known of the speed traps they often incur while getting there. Now they can add traffic safety cameras in Johnson City to their list of things to watch out for.

Johnson City police announced last week they are installing two new traffic safety cameras, bringing the total to three.

The new sites are the intersection of State of Franklin Road and Browns Mill Road, and North Roan Street and Springbrook Drive.

The existing camera is at the intersection of State of Franklin Road and West Market Street.
