Richard Brown of Jeremiah had to be taken to Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was in respiratory distress and was put in a medicineinduced coma for bacterial infection in his lungs. He was in ICU for awhile. I hope he gets better soon.
His son Ethan and his girlfriend Crystal came by with their baby Gage. He is so adorable I don’t want them to take him home.
My sympathy to the family of Patricia Slone of Jeremiah. She died at Pikeville Hospital on April 23. Trish was 68. My heart goes out to Junior and all the children and grandchildren. She was such a sweet person, always happy and smiling. She sure will be missed. My husband Lee Roy and I went to the funeral home Saturday evening for services and it was packed with people.

We have started a Neighborhood Watch Program for Elk Creek, Carcassonne and Bull Creek. We could use more members. If anyone is interested in buying a sign to put up or wants to join and find out more information, we meet the first Monday of each month at the Carcassonne Community Center at 6 p.m.
