Christopher “Chippy” Frazier, seated front row next to his mother, Debbie Frazier, has signed a scholarship offer to play three sports with the University of Pikeville — junior varsity basketball, track, and cross country. The Letcher County Central High School senior signed the offer during a ceremony earlier this month that was also attended by (seated front row, from left) LCC boys’ track and cross country coach Winston Lee, UPike Coach John Biery, (back row, from left) LCC girls’ track and cross country coach Faye Collier and assistant coach Sally Hubbard, LCC principal Stephen Boggs and LCC athletics director Arthur “Ozz” Jackson. Frazier’s father, Gaither Frazier of Whitesburg, was away from town working.
