Hello everyone, I hope this finds you all doing well.

This is Saturday, and we are getting rain. It sounds good and I don’t have to get out, so let it rain and make the gardens grow.

Thank you, Benny Brown, for the best peas I have ever tasted.

Emma Lou Engle, I didn’t go to the Pine Mountain Grill for breakfast, but I did go for lunch with my son Rob and his son Kevin and daughter Rocki, her husband Matt, and their pretty little daughter Elise. No, I haven’t seen your sister Anna in awhile. I think she may be hiding out.

I enjoyed going up to Ermine Center last week. It was good seeing everyone and I wish I could go more often. I really like those people, but something always comes up. Lizzie Mae Wright does a good job of keeping us informed.

Kathy Palumbo told me her friend, John Duty, is still a very sick man and needs our prayers.

I just found out that Elzie Ray Hatton lost another sister, Margaret ‘Lu Lu’, who lived in Tennessee near him. He had just been in for the funeral of his sister, Bertha Sizemore, who was 103 years old. Elzie Ray is close to all of his family. Our sympathy surely goes out to him and the family. I called them recently.

My sisters, Louise Shepherd and Betty, and I all had lunch at my trailer a few days ago and we enjoyed it. I invited Brenda and Charles Howard, but they couldn’t make it and they were sorry. Maybe next time.

I think Jerome Hatton was getting out of the hospital in Somerset. He has been so sick, and we have been so worried about him.

Whitesburg Holiness Church at Van will be having homecoming this week, where Bro. Larry David Caudill is pastor, and they invited everyone to come. I hope to go some.

Our church will be having our homecoming July 11–18. Our pastor, Bro. John Conn, and all the congregation invite everyone to come. Bro. Wendell Pittman will be our evangelist. He’s been here many times, and everyone likes him.

I went to the Millstone Missionary Church with Randall and Carol Day and Louise Shepherd. Our nephew, Bro. Caleb Howard, was the preacher. It’s always a treat to hear him. We are all so proud of him.

Thank you, Dorothy Tackett, for sending me pictures. I get lots of comments about my pictures.

Late happy birthday wishes to Vesta Walters of Blackey. We played together when we were little girls. Her dad, Garland Bailey, was married to my Aunt Lizzie.

I think about your family, your sisters, Lucy, Lola, Renee, and Mary, and your brothers, Nathan and Franklin D. ‘Deezie’ and Mary. I’ve thought about calling you and talking about old times. We are the same age.

I just found out recently that Glen Palumbo of Cincinnati, Oh., died. He was a son of Kathy Palumbo and the late John Palumbo Jr. He was our cousin. I don’t know what happened yet, but my sympathy goes out to his mom, Kathy, and his brothers, John Wayne and Brian. They grew up in Whitesburg.

This has been a busy week, and I don’t know what I’ve done, but I’ve stayed busy. It’s been a good week.

May God bless all of you. Try to go to the church of your choice this week.

I love going to church, and I love my church and all the people there.
