SKCTC Golf Classic planned for June 4

The 24th annual Southeast Scholarship Golf Classic will be held Saturday, June 4, beginning at 9 a.m. at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course at Cumberland.

The four- player, best- ball scramble event is priced at $65 per player or $250 for a team. Proceeds from the tourney benefit scholarships at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College.

The entry fee includes green fee and lunch and the chance to win several “special feat” prizes including entry into the putting contest, closest to the pin, longest drive, straightest drive and closest second shot competitions.

The winning foursome will pocket a cash prize of $600 while the second-place finishers will take home $400. A third-place finish in the 18-hole event is worth $200.

Creech Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac Inc. of Harlan will provide a 2011 Pontiac to the first golfer who can sink a hole in one on the par-three eighth hole.
