An event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College will be held Thursday, April 14, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the SKCTC Harlan campus. Included will be campus tours, displays and exhibits of various college programs and projects.
At 11 a.m., a program will be held in the theater, located in building one, room 119, to dedicate the facility in honor of Cawood and Helen Smith.
The late Cawood Smith was an attorney and his widow, Helen, served for many years on the SKCTC Board of Directors. She currently serves on the Southeast Education Foundation Board of Directors.
