The Letcher County Central High School softball spring clinic for players ages 5 to 14 will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 17, at the Whitesburg City Park softball field. Pitching, hitting, fielding and catching fundaments will be taught.
The cost is $30 and lunch will be provided. Participants should bring gloves, bats and batting gloves.
An auction and chili dinner will take place that evening at the LCCHS cafeteria. The dinner will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and the auction will begin at 7:45 p.m. Live music will be provided by Shawn Stamper, Whitney Stamper and Taylyn Combs. There will be appearances by the Snake Man of Appalachia and the Turtle Man.
The cost is $7. Proceeds will benefit the Letcher County Central girls’ softball program.
