Solar panels paying for themselves

The bill from Kentucky Power is $126.93. Last year at this time the bill was $493.84. The solar panels are paying for themselves. Even with the payment on the panels of $311, the total is around $50 less than last year. We are thankful for the sun’s help with our utilities. There is comfort in knowing we are harnessing the sunrays and it’s paying off.

The Black Sheep are busy producing great foods. We will be open during Neon Days so take a break, come on up for some great food, and hang out with us a while. We are always glad to see you.

Friday Nite Supper Club: There is a 30-minute break in between usually from 7:45 to 8:15. The featured musicians play two 45-minute sets starting at 7 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m. and play a variety of genres. Aspiring musicians and veteran musicians are always welcome to show up and perform. It’s always fun to play or listen. There is no cover charge so it’s always a laidback easy crowd to play for. Come join us in supporting local live music by local singer/picker/songwriters while dining on good Black Sheep Brick Oven Bakery foods.

We decided to place our unsold bread outside in coolers on Saturday mornings for folks to take. It will be left on the outside stage until a more suitable arrangement can be made to dispense it. This preservative free bread will not last long in this heat. We hope folks come and take it on Saturdays before it sits too long in the heat. It will keep almost a week at room temperature. It will feed the belly and feed the soul. If you are hungry show up early so you can get a loaf. We want you to have first pick.

Very Important Note: John Ng’s Four Seasons Martial Arts will be meeting henceforth till further notice to Sunday evenings, 5 p.m. Master Frank Sexton, instructor.

You have an open invitation to come and hang out with us at the Center when you can. We have Wi-Fi now so kids and adults are better satisfied not being cut off from their electronic devices. We also have a playground and a walking track so bring the whole family for a visit. Regardless of differences in education, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or perceived differences, all are welcome and will be treated with justice and friendship. It’s a hate-free zone and you are invited!! Come and linger among friends!!!

Weekly Quote: Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement, and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success. –Brian Adams
