Southeast Scholars representatives and students were guests recently of the Whitesburg Rotary Club. Sandy Brown, assistant coordinator, made a presentation to club members about the program and the students it serves beginning in the sixth grade. Upon completion of the program, students can attend Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College with tuition assistance. One hundred and one students from Letcher, Harlan and Bell counties are in the program, which is funded by donations and a grant from the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation.
