Speak Your Piece

Mr. Dixon, you are barking up the wrong tree for taxes more than 30 years old. Get real. Mr. Dixon, concerning the $500 fine, Jenkins is getting tired of threats.

I sure hope Carol Day is back at Mountain Comprehensive Health Corporation by now, as she really knows how to treat patients. She treats them with respect and she is friendly. Carol Day is one of the very nice ones at MCHC. Some of the others need to take a lesson from her.

Hey, Ridge Rider. Did you get The Mountain Eagle last week? Did you read your message? Did you get the letter I sent you in the mail? Keep looking. You are going to get more until you come clean.

To the girl on Big Branch: The big woman wants to know if you want to move in with me and my husband, your neighbor. Respond in next week’s paper.

I want to know what it would take to get the judge to come up and look at the dust on Pine Creek at Cleo Loop? Our District Three magistrate said he has called the judge three times and he still won’t come up here and do anything about it. These four-wheelers are making it worse. Jim Ward, please do something about this dust.

Here is what we have in Neon: We have the cleanest post office in the state.

Concerning the Pure and Simple Band: The bass player is engaged and the other guitar player is married.

I just want people to know that if you are looking for any kind of pill, just go to Marshall’s Branch. One certain guy there has any kind of pill you want, and it’s good.

To all citizens of District Two: Time is getting closer for us to elect a new magistrate. The one that is magistrate now is disrespectful to other people. He says bad things to our veterans and doesn’t have enough decency to apologize. We now have the worst fiscal court members we have ever had in office, including the deputy judge/executive, Eddie Meade.

I will not support a football team that has a registered sex offender among its members.

I wis h the peo ple of Turkey Creek could sit on the porch without worrying about someone shooting off their mouth or shooting off their guns. You can call 9-1-1 and report it, but it won’t do you any good. The cops won’t come. Some idiot runs and tells them that the cops were called. They should put the whole bunch in jail.

You said you are going to see if I am bold enough to say to your face what I said in Speak Your Piece. That is wonderful. I’d be more than glad to, and we will see if you are bold enough to say to me what you said in Speak Your Piece, but I know you won’t because you are a lying tramp.

This is to the tree hugger: Yep, I’m a woman and I am a coal miner and I have been for years. And no, you won’t ever make a rich man of me. So who’s the idiot and who’s not? Think about that, wild brother.

This is to the tree hugger that is getting down on all of us coal miners: First of all, sir, I’m glad you have a good education. That is something I didn’t do. I went through school on straight Fs. The last year I worked I made $85,000. That was five years ago. Now if you are envious of a coal miner’s pay, what you should have done was to have gotten yourself a job in the coal mines so you could have made that big money. We did go far enough in school that we can sign our names on our checks as we make that big money. You go on down and get you a job in the coal mines. The money is there and waiting on you. So you be happy and hang in there. I wish you well, sir.

To the person who said the woman told lies on her ex-husband to cover her own past: I think I know who you are talking about and you definitely got that right.

To the girl on Linefork: You know if you move away from your mother you are going to have to keep your own kids. If I were you, I would stay where I was.

People of Letcher County, think about our county. Think about our children’s future. Think about what the next four years will be like with this fiscal court. The present court has already spent all of the coal severance money to the point it can’t even give the county workers a 25-cent raise. This court doesn’t have any money for our fire departments, community centers or anything else. Now the gas companies got what they wanted and now they won’t let them have any more money. All you people that got your land destroyed by these gas companies and the judge, you couldn’t do anything about it until now. Now is your time to get even. Take your land back from the gas company and from the judge. Let’s send Judge Jim Ward back to his old job of fixing mining equipment on Election Day.

Hello, all you groveling, crawling, bootlicking, obsequious, sycophantic freaks out there. This is your captain M.P. speaking. Anchors away. Ships ahoy. Shiver me timbers and don’t forget the unicorn.

I work at a coal mine in Letcher County. We have 118 employees and we had a straw pole vote the other day on who was the most disliked candidate of public officials in our courthouse. Out of the 118 voters who voted that day, 96 of them said Archie Banks was the most disliked person in county government. So the working people have voted. I would tell you the company’s name but I am not allowed. So Archie, that is telling you that the working people are not happy. That is not good for you.

It’s Thursday the 23rd of September. I’m back on a mountain on Cowan. It’s a full moon and it is beautiful. I wish the whole world could see what I am looking at. Lord, I thank you that I am alive.

Google the biggest scam in history, the Federal Reserve. Who are these guys? You need to be informed because it concerns everyday life. And some of you putting all of these idiotic comments in the paper, if you would pick up a newspaper and get informed with what is going on around you and what affects you, you wouldn’t have time to worry about who your neighbor is sleeping with. Better yet, pick up a Bible and pray for them.

This is in regard to Terry Braddock’s message in the paper a few weeks ago. He talked about all of the water we pay for that we don’t use. I am a person who is totally disabled and I use less than 200 gallons a month. Now my water has been cut off and they won’t even let me pay half of it on Monday to have it turned back on. All I want is everyone that does not use 1,000 gallons a month, please read your meter when they do it. Use your whole 1,000 gallons every month and let’s see if that will wake up the water company. If we all chip in and we all use it instead of 200 gallons a month which we are charged $58 for, why don’t we keep our meters checked and use every drop of 1,000 gallons that we pay for whether it is to wash your lawn, wash your car or wash the hollow that you live in. I strongly urge us to take action on this, all of you in the county that have to deal with this. Our water is horrible. It smells. We need a change. Dixon being out of office is a big change. He is actually the one that turned me down this morning. He would not let me pay half of it Monday out of a disability check I get. He refuses to help me at all. I am totally disabled and I don’t have anything. Please, people, we’ve got to gather together and use our 1,000 gallons of water a month. It may make a difference. It may change the way they bill us. I strongly urge you to use your 1,000 gallons a month even if it is to run water down the road. The only way we are going to get any results is to fight back. Please use your 1,000 gallons. Thank you and God bless all of you.

This is concerning the lady who went to the Whitesburg hospital’s emergency room: When people aren’t treated right, there should be a number or something they can call and report what is going on. Does anybody know anything about this?

I’m hoping that someone that works at a nursing home in Cumberland will read this and offer their advice on what to do about this situation: Some of the nurse’s aids that work there are eating the residents’ food. I saw this again the other day when my buddy and I were visiting a friend. They drink their juices. They drink their milks, especially the chocolate ones. We report this time and time again. I would go to the administrator, but I don’t want to get my name involved in this because my buddy has family that are residents there. And so I am hoping if someone reads this that works there, that they can do something about it. This is happening there, people, every day.

People, I saw one of those high-dollar preachers on T.V. the other day by the name of John Hagee. Even I would have thought he would have been smarter than to say what he was saying about Adam and Eve eating the apple. People, I went through school with straight F’s, and even I know the Bible doesn’t talk about Adam and Eve eating an apple. Shame on you, John Hagee, for being so stupid.

When she got up to wash her face she came back to find her best friend had taken her place.

The fiscal court acts like they are mad at the whole world. They shouldn’t be mad at anyone. They should be mad at themselves over the way they are trying to do the county.

So you’re starting again. I’m sure you’re the one who made the comment that it takes a coward to put comments in Speak Your Piece. You got called out on it, because everybody knows who you are in here, even some of your church members. You’re the coward. You don’t have the guts to look me in the eye. All you do is sit and squirm. They all know it is all lies you’re saying about my husband and me. You’d be surprised who all laughs at you. I never was one to start a brawl at a public gathering, but I’m not hard to find. Let me know where to meet you and I’ll show you bravery. The ball is in your court. Do something about it. By the way, you said you were not going to leave me alone. You’re the one who’s obsessed with me. Don’t be such a coward. Contact me and I’ll show you how disliked you are.

You know what grinds my gears? Little boys with Mohawks. If the parents like that haircut they should get it themselves. Other things that bother me include white SUVs, parents who won’t strap their kids into car seats, foul-mouthed people, hot flashes, and old men wearing one earring.

Rand Paul is opposed to four-lane highways and public restrooms because our founding fathers didn’t express a need for them in our Constitution. The first federal highways were toll roads. We need to bring back toll roads so the federal taxes don’t pay for our roads.

Did anyone notice that the coal severance tax money was not allocated for animals in the county? What happened to the money that was supposed to go to the animal shelter? I guess that was just supposed to help the officials at the last election time. Does the county have no say in how the money is divided? There were meetings held and the fiscal court knows that the citizens want an animal shelter for the county. Jim Ward, you are no different than Mr. Smith. You just want to send all of the animals to die in Hazard. That is your way of taking care of the animals in the county. Maybe if they could vote you would step up and take care of them. Why is there no animal task force to combat all of the animal abuse in the county? Why don’t you give the county garage and dog warden more staff to help them with all of the calls? The worst looking vehicle in the county is the dog warden’s. Why would you want to pay for a nice vehicle when the dogs are riding to their next stop of a lethal injection and thrown in the burner to die? The county has nowhere to place dogs when they investigate an abuse case, so they just give them back. What about providing money for a spay and neuter program in the county, so you don’t see pregnant, starving dogs walking all over the county? I bet the tourism committee could toss out some dog bones on their next tour of the county, because I am sure the outsiders love to see that. Maybe the recreation center can be an animal shelter when it’s vacant from nobody using it. Why don’t you take a look at Pike County’s new facility and do something that would help the animals of your county?

We have apparently forgotten history. The Roman citizens went to the games at The Colosseum while foreigners did the work of the country. In America, many of our citizens play video games and draw checks while the working class suffers. No one seems to ask the fairness issue of why someone who has never worked is entitled to better health care and a bigger check than many of the workers. Many of the workers labor without health care, while those who don’t work have a better benefit package from our society! What is the outcome going to be?

Why have they quit working on the bridge at Mayking?
