Speak Your Piece

I don’t know about the rest of you, but my power bill has more than doubled. Please join me in mounting a campaign through Speak Your Piece to let AEP, also known as Kentucky Power Company, know how unhappy we are. Let’s all tell it like it is and send our printed comments to the Kentucky Public Service Commission, which is the group responsible for us being in this situation we are in. Please call Speak Your Piece with some examples of what your bill normally would be and what it has shot up to now. Please call 633-7508 and let ‘er rip.

I would like for everyone to know I’ve been to the Letcher County Sheriff ’s office to report the drug dealing in Long Branch. The people who live in Long Branch can’t get in and out of the hollow for so many people coming to buy drugs. We need something done about the people coming from everywhere to get drugs. This is a disgrace. Why the heck can’t we get some law enforcement to come in here? Thank you.

’Tis the season for giving. Nine inches of snow and still no tip for the pizza delivery boy.

Matthew 6 says you cannot serve both God and money, either one or the other. So if you think money is important, read Chapter 6 of Matthew.

On a recent business trip I stayed at a hotel in Norton, Va. There at the front desk I encountered an employee who proceeded to tell me her life story. As I listened she told me of her boyfriend’s infidelity with a close friend of hers. Not only that, but the boyfriend had gotten another girl pregnant four years prior. What kind of business are you people running? After a long day of traveling all I wanted to do was rest. Other than her mouth going on and on, my stay was pleasant. Please, hotel management, make sure your employees keep their personal lives at home. Thank you from a very weary traveler.

< b> I noticed in The Mountain Eagle where it looks like Jim Ward is asking the people to pay for the sports complex that he used for a calling card. ‘I got the lights at the Cook ballpark and I was the one that got the sports complex.’ Well, I look like I am the one that is going to have to help pay for it. Jim Ward didn’t do anything but create another darn problem for everybody to pay for. Looks like Jim Ward doesn’t need to use that for a calling card. People, wake up and don’t vote for him anymore.

Nearly everybody knows the source of drugs — pharmaceutical companies. However, nobody seems to realize there is a trail from drug companies to consumers (that is a fancy name for ‘druggies.’). Of course, when a former mayor of New York is on the drug company payroll, no one is going to stop the OxyContin company supplying street drugs.

I would like to say a late happy holidays to a friend of mine who is far away. Also, happy birthday, dear. I love you.

.

I would like to wish an old friend of mine a happy birthday. All of those rainy nights — we went through a lot of leaves falling off of the trees, but still yet I still love you.

I know that a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent is considered to be drunk if you are driving on the road. But I would like to know what they consider to be ‘under the influence’ if you are taking some kind of medication. Are there standards they go by or do they just consider if you’ve got anything in your system at all you are impaired? I would like to get an answer to that, because I don’t think they even have a scale for that. If it comes up on a big case, I think a guy could beat that in court. I take medication and I’ve had a lot of tests done and all it shows is that I have some in my system. It never says how much. I would like for someone who knows what they are talking about to answer that question for me.

Can anyone top this? I contributed a lot to his education and put him in a $50,000 vehicle and the thanks I get is that he goes around amusing himself at my expense.

I’m calling in regard to the comment in Speak Your Piece a couple of weeks ago about the little sports car on Moonshine Drive. That little sports car is on Moonshine Drive, because that is where I live and I drive that car. I’m just clearing things up.

This is a special thank you to Tina at Frazier’s Farmers Supply for giving me and my family a wonderful Christmas Eve.

Well, there is a lady at Jenkins who at one time I respected very much. She was my landlady. She treated me very well. We talked a lot and we laughed a lot. I thought she really did care about my family, but come to find out she was just caring about the money. Whatever I did to her she should not have taken out on my kids. My kids now have nowhere to go. There’s one thing about it, what goes around comes around. But I will not do this lady wrong even though everyone says that I will. They talk about me like a dog. There is one thing I can say. God knows who I am from the inside and that is all that counts for me. I do have my kids, but we are in a bad spot and I didn’t think she would do that to me. But I still love her no matter what. And I will just tell her this. One day her child may be put in that position, but I hope not. And if so, I hope that person treats them better than she has treated me and my kids.

This is my one and only resolution for 2011. I hereby resolve to be a kinder and gentler person. I shall refrain from making any negative or derogatory comments about anyone. I shall follow to the best of my ability the advice of the moral leaders in our community. And I further resolve to keep this resolution as well as any mortal can. By the way, you people make me sick. And yes, I did get a new puke bucket for Christmas. Happy New Year. This is the M.P. Who else would it be? Good day.

I want to know when we are going to get the animal shelter here. We’ve got the money and the land. I haven’t heard anything else about it. Maybe we can get something done in 2011. We sure could use one. We have a lot of stray animals around here. See if you can find and put something about it in The Mountain Eagle for us.

.

To a certain witch up in Joe’s Branch: I hope you burn for what you did to us. You know what you did and I am going to tell everybody about you and your girlfriend. I know all about it. I overheard you on a phone call that you are cheating on your husband with a lesbian. So whenever I feel the need I am going to tell everyone. I know where you live. I am going to put posters up about you doing stuff with lesbians. Also, your son likes boys.

.

I’d like to say something to the nasty girl that drives the yellow car. She needs to get a life and move on. Nobody wants her in that house.

.

This is to the man who thinks he is a Christian, but is nothing but a hypocrite. He won’t let the grandmother of the baby he has right now see her and it is the woman’s last dying breath that she wants to see her baby. He could let her see the baby. He doesn’t have any room to talk. They need to get real and know who the real Lord is.

.

I am so glad I didn’t have any daughters. I wouldn’t take anything for my boys. All girls do is get out and get pregnant.
