I want to go to Boston with the Jenkins School Board. I really need a week of vacation. So how does a regular citizen get to go stay with a board member? Did I miss my invitation? Did the mailman lose it? I missed the California trip last year, but I heard it was great fun. Now I simply must go to Boston with them. Is there still time to get in on this, or have I missed the plane? Come on, write another tax check folks. I am sure there’s a lot to learn about Kentucky schools in Boston. Ha ha ha.

.

To the City of Pikeville: Congratulations on your most recent effort to make eastern Kentucky look like the land of uneducated fools to the rest of the nation. NOT. Next time you present Kentucky Coach John Calipari with a plaque, you might want to proofread it first to make sure the words ‘the’ and ‘its’ are used properly. Isn’t Pikeville the city that likes to hold itself up as being the home of best and brightest our region has to offer? I can’t imagine even towns like Vicco or Benham turning out something as sad as the plaque Pikeville gave Coach Cal. As usual, the goof is making the rounds all across the nation and making us look like idiots.

.

They say they need coal for electrical power and then they say they need electrical power to create coal. Electricity created in eastern Kentucky has been screwed up since these big coal companies started running the wires. The guy that worked on the power on the back of my house said it’s all for the benefit for the coal company and I would have more electrical problems than I have ever had before. The reason we have electrical problems in eastern Kentucky is the power grid designed for residential is not designed for the coal industry.

.

I just wanted to say thank you to Mr. Narramore for standing up for what is right at the board meeting in Jenkins. He said we need to stick to our guns about our school colors, Kelly green. The guy in the jacket keeps bringing it up, saying we need to clarify it. Well, he ought to know that there is nothing to clarify. He is a graduate of Jenkins High School. It’s Kelly green. Thank you to Mr. Narramore for doing what is right.

First off, left me say I am not affiliated in any way with Revelation Ranch, other than I really respect what they are doing. But this person who is putting these little smart aleck comments in Speak Your Piece about Revelation Ranch, I wish she would sign her name because everyone knows who she is. She just can’t handle it that they are trying to make a success. So please, if you are going to complain about them, put your name in the paper so they will know who you are.

.

To you people who openly say you hate President Obama even though you draw food stamps and Medicaid and SSI and money from every other government program you think your lazy, ignorant behind deserves: Please vote against Obama and vote for Mitt Romney for president. Romney and the Republicans say they are going to cut your food stamps and your other entitlements, so by all means do vote for them. I hope Romney wins and cuts out all your food stamps and other welfare. It would be funny to see some of you ignorant fools left to fend for yourselves for a change instead of living off us taxpayers who actually have a job.

.

Why don’t they make pink and blue gummy bears? Please help me. My daughter is driving my crazy. Call somebody and ask them why they don’t.

(They do make pink and blue gummy bears candy. If you can’t find them locally, you might try an online site such as www.ohnuts.com.)

Personally, I think Terry Braddock did the City of Jenkins a big service when he painted over the Cavalier. I think the entrance to the amphitheatre looks 100 percent better without that cluttered up piece of artwork that some called perfection.

.

I see the gas prices have raised up in Letcher County. I guess that means gas prices have gone down in Pikeville. When the gas goes up in Pikeville, it will go down in Letcher County. Notice that? I do.

.

To a certain person: Hi, baby. I am just trying to figure out some way we can get this bet called off, because I am having some hard times right now. It’s been really hard for me. Thank you, my baby. I love you now.

Kentucky Power Company was recently referred to as morally corrupt — a euphemism as one discovers the compensation duly and without remorse served to the officers of the corporation. Mr. Morris, former CEO retired from the demands of the office, was bestowed a comfortable salary of $3.5 million. Determination of the responsibilities of Mr. Morris has not been noted. Recent meeting of the Public Service Commission along with friends of the AEP, as noted in the headlines of The Mountain Eagle, says those friends agree with the requested rate increase. It seems that those people do not have to decide whether to purchase items to sustain the bodies of their loved ones — or help pay the outrageous salaries of Mr. Morris, et al. I strongly recommend that we, the ratepayer, suggest that the stockholders pay for the retro-fit of their equipment and leave us to hell alone.

.

This is to the new mayor who wants to cut the new road down into Jenkins: We have enough roads coming down into Jenkins, and that idea is about as birdbrained as one from the last mayor we had who kept raising the water bill. We need another road like we need another hole in the head.

.

I wonder if that 32-yearold pill head from Hemphill learned anything from that trip to jail over the past weekend. She ought to have learned something by now.

.

Looks like the big woman got blown out. Incest is hard to compete with.

.

To the lady on Facebook who shows an ultrasound and is crying because he lies to you: He is a married man with kids. Don’t talk about your blessings and God’s will when you are destroying a home. You are also going to be a grandma. You should have known about birth control. Or was it a trap? Besides, his courthouse buddies will cover for him.

.

There was an old has been who ran for public offi ce again, but the big one interceded. His has been was defeated and never ran for office again.

.

Mayor Kincer in Jenkins needs to know about his cops. When they come up to the Mountain Breeze Apartments they let anybody jump in the cars and drive them around the parking lot.

.

Thank you, Speak Your Piece, for transcribing my message. It happened just as I predicted. Have a good day.

.

I’m glad to see that the Little Shepherd Outdoor Drama is getting $30,000 from the Letcher County Fiscal Court. Now, Don Amburgey and Terry Braddock can honor their word and replace the Cavalier mural they vandalized on the wall near the Jenkins High School.

.

I would like to wish a woman that I love very much a happy birthday on April 18. I’m hoping we will get to share it together and I am looking forward to taking the trip that I promised to go with you.

.

God love her. I do. She is my angel.

.

To a certain person: I searched for words to tell you how much you mean to me to let you know how precious each day has to be. To show how much I value the little things you do can really be expressed by just saying I love you. You are my angel.

.

I will never fall in love with another woman. I am just lonely and I need someone.

.

A revival is now in progress at Haymond, known as Freddie Bryant Church. Paul Murphy in charge, with three preachers, all from Cram Creek, Johnny Ison Young, Andy Wright, Phillip and more. Everyone welcome. Services 6 p.m. nightly. Do come. Thank you. Mr. Stanley Pack.

.

To a certain woman: I am the one who loves you — me and our son. I have tried an tried, but you won’t give in. It hurts too see your son hurt over you staying with a man that physically hurt him while you stood by. But I guess it’s time to move on. That’s what you want from me and him. If not you would be with us. I guess this is the end. Hope everything works out for you. Just remember we love you and we will pray for you.

Hard journey. We live in a world broken by sin and its effects in which all kinds of genetic weaknesses occur. Drugs. His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud; under his tongue is mischief and vanity. Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents (a stumbling block), over and over. Every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. Stop. Ask God for help in your ignorant unbelief. Christ Jesus is faith and love. Repent today. Behold God stands at the door and knocks, if any man hear my voice and open the door I will come into him and will sup with him and he with me. Mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied.
