Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with Charles Bailey, tree cutter? He was mentioned in last week’s Speak Your Piece. Thanks.

.

Yesterday I went to my family cemetery in Ratliff Branch. I was barely able to get up the hollow because of all the junk that other people have put beside the road up through there. If you have to get off the road there you are wrecked, and the weeds are over your head. People who live there have brand new vehicles but all that junk. They are my family members, too, but they can pick some of that stuff up and put it in the garbage. There is no sense in living like that. It was not like that when I was growing up in that hollow. The county should do something about Ratliff Branch and get that stuff cleaned up. It’s right on the road.

.

Can anybody out there tell me the definition of the phrase ‘no respecter of persons’? Explain it to me.

(Here’s a definition from the Collins English Dictionary: A person whose attitude and behavior is uninfluenced by consideration of another’s rank, power, wealth, etc.)

.

To two lesbians from Jenkins taking pictures of a white truck: You should have gotten a little bit closer and gotten a picture of the bright shiny thing lying beside him, because you’ll probably be seeing it soon.

.

If women can have the right to choose about their bodies, shouldn’t us elderly people who are terminally ill have the same choices — the right to die? They can abort babies who could live 70 or 80 years, yet us elderly people do not have the right to die even though we could be in torment and misery for six months or a year. Just a thought.

.

Glad to see the Seedtime Punk Show coming back rhis weekend to the old Boone Motor Company building. Hopefully this show will generate some more videos of people getting their naked behinds spanked with a belt by a fat fool wearing a dress and screaming into a microphone. Such high quality art. I dare you to print this, Mountain Eagle.

.

I long for the days when Jerry Nantz and James Green ran the main grocery store in Whitesburg with pride and expected the same from their employees, too.

.

Dear Speak Your Piece: We the people of Letcher County need to tell the governor we don’t want new asphalt five years from now from Letcher County Central High School to Jenkins. We don’t want more lanes. We just want more asphalt on what we have now. That terrible strip of highway at Payne Gap is an atrocity.

.

My dad told me to never mess with an old man because he will put your trip off.

.

To a certain rat that doesn’t like having the law called on him: You might as well enjoy it, because the more you threaten the worse it’s going to be. Keep it up and you’re going to be behind bars, which is where you should have been 10 years ago. It’s going to come back to you.

.

I don’t seen how anyone could think Letcher County Central’s baseball coach is building a team for the future or winners in life. He has beaten down our players all year long. The players didn’t know if they were coming or going. All I can say is we need a new coach ASAP.

.

I would like to leave a message to the bravest man in Letcher County, a man who is so brave he has to beat up on his wife just to feel like he’s a man. From what I can understand, old brave man, that girl choked you out bluer than a crayon. You’re a real man. You need to check your birth certifi- cate to see if you’re male or female after letting a woman whip your behind. You are a real first-class piece of youknow what.

.

This to Kentucky Power Company: How in the name of God can you come around and cut off a person’s electricity when they paid you $800 to keep it on? You are the lowest of the low. I pray none of you sleep at night and that you lose your job on top of that.

.

I sat through a Letcher County Central High School baseball practice and watched. I am a former four-year starter who also noticed the coach never told the players to ‘swing level.’ That’s because when you’re coaching you don’t the players to swing level, you tell them to put their back elbow up. Through no fault of the coach, these players who quit have learned nothing from playing a sport that should give you a lifetime of skills.

.

I am calling in reference to the slumlord at Jenkins and Burdine. I was just wondering if I took a couple of pictures of the homes and yards if I could send then in to Speak Your Piece for an article on the slumlords of eastern Kentucky. What an article that would be.

When we go to hell, who is going to cook for us while we’re down there? If nobody cooks for us and feeds us we will starve to death.

.

I would like to make a comment about the young man who is riding his motorcycle up Pine Creek: He was looking at his phone the entire time. You might think everybody does it, but this guy also had a child about two or three years old with him. We need to stop this ignorance. We also need to put trails all around our hills and mountains so people can come here and have fun. But you have to be smart about it.

.

Thanks for the good laugh by the person who called in about our new tax on China. News flash: one country has no way to tax another. But please tell us how China robbed us; did they sneak in while we were out or mug us at gunpoint?

.

I am writing to speak my piece and to lift up my voice and speak out against the wrong that is being done in our nation. We now have the greatest president that we have had in a long time and now we have a Democrat Party that is for anything that is against our nation. They speak of wanting to impeach our great president, but the president that should have been impeached is Barack Hussein Obama because he went to Saudi Arabia and bowed down before the Saudi prince, which is high treason and brought a reproach on our nation. Our nation’s leaders should bow to no one but Jesus Christ.

.

I am so thankful for the states that are putting a stop to murdering our unborn children. Proverbs 6:16-19, these six things doth the Lord hate; yea, seven are the abomination unto him: a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

.

Okay, tell me one more time. You voted for Donald Trump because he was such a successful businessman, right? After eight years of prosperity and economic growth under President Obama after the George Bush depression and after two years of economic growth under Donald Trump, your hero is picking a trade war with China and Mexico (two of our greatest trading partners). Trump raises tariffs and they raise tariffs. Who benefits? Who suffers? That makes many of our imports more expensive so who pays for it? We, the buying public will be paying a higher price and the stock market drops 2,000 points. Tell me one more time what a smart businessman Donald Trump is (is not). The only good thing to come out of this scenario is that Donald Trump is driving another nail in his political coffin.

.

Everybody talks about what Letcher County needs. Well I have found a huge need for Letcher County. We need a dentist that makes false teeth. Look around at all the young people who don’t have a tooth in their head. A dentist who makes false teeth could make a billion dollars here in six months.

.

This goes out to the freeloaders out there: First they move in a few at a time. Next they will say they are looking at other options to leave. Before you realize it they have no intentions of going anywhere. Why should they? As long as I keep them I will be stuck with them.
