Finally, people are beginning to realize that Trump is an egotistical lying bully who is a danger to this country, and one who is willing to put his own most faithful in harm’s way if it can make him look good. He has done nothing during his term in office unless it was a benefit to him. The pitiful showing in Tulsa can be placed in his lap. He drove up expectations with his, ‘millions have signed up’ claims. He insisted on that time frame and location. He threatened peaceful protestors with harm, and had armed white supremacists patrolling outside. After telling his followers that it was safe, he forced attendees to sign a waiver saying they could not sue him if they got sick. Somebody needs to cut his tweeter off.

.

Terry Adams better come up with something to say for himself. Or better yet the fiscal court needs to chime in. Probably best to keep a man like that quiet. We already know the fewest votes he got in this election was in his own district. They didn’t want him and he has proved why. What an embarrassment to our whole county. On TV news for everybody to see.

.

It took an episode of Atlanta to teach me about Juneteenth. It took an episode of ‘The Watchmen’ to teach me about The Tulsa Massacre. It took a movie, ‘The Gangs of New York’ to teach me about the New York City draft riots, where black men were lynched in the streets. Why do we have to rely on TV and movies for our education?

.

I was hoping our current county judge/executive would be better than the last one. Someone should explain to him that history can’t be erased. All those traitorous advocates of slavery he thinks ought to have statues will definitely remain in the history books. It’s especially worrying that he doesn’t give a damn who he may infect by not wearing a mask. That’s assault. If he infects anyone it is battery.

.

Even though the conservative judges on the Supreme Court have hearts three sizes too small, some of them are still bigger than that of President Cheeto. Who else could be so heartless as to be full of hatred and dishonesty toward child refugees?

.

We need a bunker under the courthouse so our county judge will have a safe place in case the BLM protesters come back.

. The Bible says all widow women need someone to help them. I am an elderly sick woman and no one has asked to do anything for me or to help me in any way. All I can say is God bless them. I’m sick and there’s no one to help me unless I hand them a dollar. Have a good day.

.

What’s on my mind is all this Black Lives Matter stuff. Yes, most definitely, black lives do matter. But why are we dividing ourselves by fighting and feuding instead of coming together? We’ve got to forget the past in order to forgive our brothers who had nothing to do with what has happened. They say remove the monument to Jefferson Davis and other Confederate Army monuments, but what if they removed Martin Luther King statues? Let’s be real; we have to love one another, but this is not the way. All we are doing is destroying and dividing our nation, and over what?

.

Speaking for those with asthma and breathing problems, we would really appreciate it if smokers were stopped from smoking right outside the doors to the Letcher County Courthouse, so we can breathe while waiting to go inside. Thank you.

.

To one evil man: I dare you to call me the names you called me to my granddaughter when you’ve been dragging a married woman up and down the roads for all these years. You know, you’ve been married many times. One of them you tried to poison when she got sick, and I can prove that through her children. You thought she had a lot of money and you were going to get it. I hope I live to see you die, because I know you are going straight to hell.

.

Given the current events of the world and the reactions to everything, the PepsiCo-owned Quaker Oats brand had decided to remove the Aunt Jemima name from its products. How sad of a world in which we live. It seems like it has changed overnight. But one thing’s for sure, collectors like myself have a whole lot of this memorabilia and we’ll hold onto it now. They have just made us richer because the items with Aunt Jemima’s picture will become much more valuable.

.

That guy on WMMT said you can’t believe the postings on Facebook, that some of them are suspect. The next thing he’ll tell me is he doesn’t believe Fox News. If you can’t believe Fox News and Facebook, which can you believe?

. My wife’s cousin says if we can wear masks he can fly her Confederate flag. She doesn’t realize her ancestors weren’t even in this country when the Civil War took place. Her ancestors came after that. They had to change their last name because it was foreign. If we hadn’t let foreigners like her ancestors in this country we wouldn’t have to put up with this conspiracy stuff.

.

To those trashy people who think black lives matter in the United States: Let me tell you a little history lesson, folks. The stars on that Confederate flag to do represent racism. They represent the states that fought for the South in the Civil War. People need to know that Southern soldiers are United States veterans, too, and I think it’s time we recognize them. If the wrong person gets the Confederate flag into his or her hands they can use it for racism. But I am not a racist. I’m a relative of a Confederate veteran and I continue to honor my ancestors the way I choose. This just goes to show you how dumb some people are in this country.

.

Things have gone too far when they talk about taking Mrs. Butterworth off the packages for pancake syrup and pancake mix because it is racist. What’s next, Fat Albert? Come on, this stuff has been around forever and it’s not hurting anybody. It wasn’t made to hurt anybody. This is just so sad.

.

I have a son buried at the Isom Cemetery behind the Presbyterian Church. Every time I put flowers on his grave they are taken. It’s a funny thing to me that the only flowers that get gone are the ones I put on there. I think I know who is doing this — a certain evil man. I want this man to know that a friend of mine and I bought a camera the other day and we have it set up to see who is taking the flowers.

.

I see where a certain woman is always on Facebook talking about immigrants. Her grandfather’s family was immigrants and her dad’s family has a foreign-sounding name. Her name I can’t even pronounce and she’s griping about immigrants. My family has been in this country since the Revolutionary War and we welcome immigrants. John Adams, our second president, wanted to deport my father’s family because they were Irish.

.

I can’t believe that after all these years The Swap Shop is off the air because of the coronavirus stuff.

.

Jailer Bert Slone has done a fine job. But when you’re overcrowded you are overcrowded and he has to go by the book and release the prisoners. The Letcher County Jail is overcrowded; that’s a fact. Thank you.

.

A preacher friend of mine told me he believes the coronavirus is God’s judgment on America. If this really is God’s judgment on America then why is He hitting the churches really hard?

.

To a certain person: I wouldn’t be calling myself a first responder if I were you, especially since you use people and find women to shack up with.

.

A history lesson: I understand why Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat Party want to tear down and remove statues and change the names of military bases and cancel the past. Pelosi’s father dedicated statue to Robert E. Lee when he was the mayor of Baltimore in 1948. The Democrat Party was started in 1830 when Andrew Jackson was president. The Republican Party, known as the Abolitionist Party in it early days, was started in 1854 when Franklin Pierce was president. In 1861, Republican Abraham Lincoln was elected president on the Republican Party ticket and he began to abolish slavery and to establish that all men are created equal as stated in the Declaration of Independence in Congress on July 4, 1776. The fight for equality and justice continues this day by Republican President Donald Trump, who was elected November 8, 2016. All above facts are true. To find out, use the World Wide Web or so-called Internet. But I can’t tell you how; I don’t own a smart phone or iPad or computer. I don’t know how to use the Internet. At my age, with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, I’m not inclined to buy a gadget and learn how. I’ll just have to depend on what I learned in school and stored in the computer that God gave me. Thank you and have a good day.

.

I was watching Fox News today. The station, which is the gospel of all things Trump, reported that the federal government has more than 400,000 hydroxychloroquine tablets they can do absolutely nothing with. So now they’ve decided they’re going to hand them out to all the people who attend future Trump rallies and let them wash the tablets down with a big glass full of Clorox. Then when they leave the rallies they will give them a big booster shot of Clorox. Way to go, Trump baby.

.

To a certain person: I own the property in front of your house. I have a deed to it; you don’t. I’m doing something by mowing my own property. It’s been proven that I own it in a court of law. It doesn’t need to be proved again. You are crazy. Smile, God loves you. Bye.

.

The person who said the crucifixion of Jesus was caused by Jesus doing something wrong should know that Jesus came to die so that we can live eternally. The person who called Jesus several disgusting names should take Psalms 46:10 to heart — ‘Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.’ The word exalted mean worshipped. The word heathen means one who doesn’t believe in the God of the Bible. God loves all of his creation, but he won’t be mocked. Read Galatians 6:7-8.

.

This talk about the booger man coming to every little town in the United States reminds me of the Sixties and early Seventies. In the Sixties, Martin Luther King was said to be coming to every little town to start race riots. That never happened; Martin Luther King never caused a race riot. He was the one who got killed; not the people who thought he was going to come and hurt them. The American people are afraid. They have to have guns because they don’t trust God. I trust God to take care of me instead of my gun.

.

To a certain person: When the time comes to prove who owns the land, I just happen to have a video of you digging up the landmark you thought you moved. You can do time in jail for this, so if you want to push it then push it.

.

To the people raising hell about our county judge/executive Terry Adams: I think he did the right thing, but he should have done one more thing. He should have brought the Ku Klux Klan in behind them and watched what they would have done then. Thank you.

.

A gentleman says he is a Christian. I asked him a simple question: When are you going to ever tell your wife? But I want to add a little more to this story. How would your uncle feel if he knew that if for all the free work you did you wanted payment in the bedroom with his wife? Do you not feel sad now for what you tried? Now she is gone. It’s sad. One of these days people will find out, and you were going to church when this went on.

.

I think the Friday, June 12 march in Whitesburg was of a contentious nature rather than a high moral cause. Today, about 45 minutes ago, I asked a person who marched why they marched. The person said, ‘black lives matter.’ I asked [another question] and the person looked at me, bewildered and amazed and made a few unflattering remarks and walked away. I want this person to know it was a legitimate question and I am not an SOB for asking it. I would still like to know; I am confused. The confusion of a call gives no legitimacy to a purpose. Thank you.

.

God bless you, Mr. President. We know you are going to be president for the next four years that are coming after the election. The man who killed this man by putting his knee on his neck knew what he was doing. He knew he was killing this man. Anybody who has studied any martial arts knows where the pressure points on the neck are. It was cold-blooded murder. Now a plaque for George Floyd would be fine, but I can’t see holding a national holiday in his honor. But he should be remembered. God bless America, and black lives do matter. White lives matter. All lives matter. We know this.

.

To the caller who said, ‘I do love the Trump hater who continuously calls Speak Your Piece. He or she is providing wonderful entertainment during this time of great desperation in our country’: Better enjoy it while you can, Trumptrash. There’s a reckoning coming.

.

This past week’s edition of Speak Your Piece was filled with bawling, snotslinging, handwringing, and whining from Trump lovers. I have three things to say to you walking bowel movements: 1) If you’re not anti-fascist, you’re anti America; 2) if you’re a Klanner, neo-Confederate, Bircher, ‘Threeper’, Oath Kreeper, Putin-lover, Nazi scum, fascist brownshirt, or just a run-of-the-mill racist right-wing vermin, you’re a traitor to the United States and to the American people; 3) the only good traitor is a dead traitor.
