Stella Pedigo dies in Indiana

STELLA YONTS PEDIGO

Stella D. Yonts Pedigo, 79, died December 7 at her home in Tipton, Ind.

Born in McRoberts, she was a daughter of the late Farris and Ada Collins Yonts.

She was also preceded in death by six brothers, William Curtis Yonts, Ralph Yonts, James Leslie Yonts, Clyde Yonts, Herbert D. Yonts and Eugene B. Yonts.

Mrs. Pedigo was graduated from Whitesburg High School in 1956 and was director of volunteers at Tipton Memorial Hospital before retiring in 1994. She was also a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tipton, and was a member of the Dorcus Circle quilting group with members of the church.

Surviving are her husband of 59 yeas George H. Pedigo; three daughters, Pamela McCallister and husband Dan, Dallas, Tex., Debbie Alley and husband Greg, Tipton, Ind., and Sandra Ayres and husband Bob, Owenton; a son, Richard Pedigo and wife Tina, Westfield, Ind.; two brothers, Russell Yonts and Duane Yonts; two sisters, Marie Mercer and Ella Sparks; seven grandchildren, Bradi McCallister, Mason McCallister and wife Katie, Devan Spaulding and husband Jonathan, Jeb Ayres, Caleb Ayres, Olivia Pedigo and Gabby Pedigo; and a greatgrandchild, Leona McCallister.

Funeral services were held December 10 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church of Tipton. She was buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Tipton.
