Struttin’ Time:

More on state’s hunting license cost

Well my baby girl and myself are in Florida hunting wild boar, Osceola turkey, quail, and doing some fishing as well.

We wanted to go for a “gator hunt” but time, because of her job, put a stop to that. I can’t wait until she retires and we won’t worry about the days.

I have gotten several e-mails and text messages about the price of Kentucky hunting licenses going up so high. I tried to warn everyone earlier …

Now back to my senior hunting license. I posted last year that when the price of my senior license went up I would not buy another at the $12 they are asking. My friend Cecil Adkins informed me that if I bought them that day they were still $5. I did and they were.

Unless some of you step up and put in the extra $7 this year, well you know the rest of the story. If my friends don’t cover me I will either not hunt in Kentucky or hunt without a license. I would hate to break the law, so I hope you step up.

I guess I am the only teller of stories to tell the Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources that I am thinking about violating the law. Maybe, just maybe, by trying to catch me some other senior can enjoy their hunting season.

I will give a full report when I return from Florida.
