Susan A. Hull has been named a Certified Diabetes Educator by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE). Candidates for certification must meet rigorous eligibility requirements and must have specialized knowledge on the care of people with diabetes. Currently, there are 15,500 diabetes educators who hold NCBDE certification.
Hull has worked at the Leatherwood/Blackey Clinic in Cornettsville for more than 10 years caring for patients with diabetes. She helps patients cope with their illness through behavior changes, healthy eating, being more active, glucose monitoring, taking medication, problem solving, and reducing risk.
