A 32-year-old Letcher County man has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge filed after he knowingly sold three stolen truck rims for scrap.
Dustin Kim Caudill of Blackey pleaded not guilty to a charge of receiving stolen property during his August arraignment in Letcher District Court. He is scheduled to be back in district court for a preliminary hearing on September 8.
The Letcher County Sheriff ’s Department charged Caudill, of 673 Carbon
Glow Road, with receiving stolen property valued at more than $500 but less than $10,000. Caudill was arrested August 16, about a month after he sold the Alcoa truck rims to Baker Metal of Thornton.
Court documents filed by Deputy Sheriff Alisha Congleton identify the victim of the theft as Eddie Combs.
Caudill was released from the Letcher County Jail after family members posted a $ 5,000 surety bond.
