Thelma McPherson, 84, died December 4 at her home in Jenkins after a long illness.
A daughter of the late James and Lavonna Osborne Mullins, she was the widow of John Henry McPherson.
She was the mother of the late Danny R. McPherson, and a sister of the late Ruth Massey, Ada Pauley and Elaine Hernan.
She was a member of the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary.
Sur viving are four daughters, Dianne Dulimba and husband Tom, Wyandotte, Mich., Darlene Lyons and husband Danny, Cedar Bluff, Va., Linda Petty and husband Roy, Southgate, Mich., and Donna Harvey and Homer White of Wise, Va.; a son, John J. McPherson of Jenkins; 10 grandchildren, Dwayne Petty and wife Christine, Crystal Gray and husband Patrick, Troy Petty, Melissa Petty and Lance Runngren, Craig Lyons, Mark Lyons and wife Jessie, Chad Rakoczy, Paul Harvey, Michael Harvey, and Brandy Pannell and husband Jeremy; 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Louella Swindall of Big Stone Gap, Va., Virginia Hudson of Allen Park, Mich., Rebecca Williams and husband Richard of Southgate, Mich., and Carol Bentley of Pound, Va.; and three brothers, Roy Mullins and wife Dorothy of Carolton, Mich., Curtis Mullins of Farmington, Mich., and Eugene Mullins of Southgate, Mich.; and friends David Little, Dina Branham and Myrtle Lee Venters.
Funeral services were held December 7 in Pound, Va. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Whitesburg.
