Think of the consequences

Another year has passed since I wrote about the upcoming holiday which we call Thanksgiving. To many it is just another holiday, another excuse to eat and drink too much.

We should give thanks every day for the many blessings the Lord has bestowed upon us, but many seem to have forgotten who provides all that we posses.

As I stated in the beginning of this article, many see it as one more chance to drink too much evil spirits and eat too much.

I myself have been having quite a time lately with health problems, but I know that I am not alone in that category and the Lord knows all about it. I also know that I still have much to be thankful for.

If you readers wish to eat too much, that is your prerogative, and the same goes for drinking too much. But it ends there. You do not have the right to get out and operate a vehicle while impaired, whether by drugs or alcohol.

When I say drugs I include the idiot weed, marijuana. Smoking idiot weed may seem like an innocent act, but it is far from it.

If you violate our laws it is not innocent, it is intentional and you must pay the price.

Lest you forget, there are innocent people out on the road too, who are endangered by your stupidity. Law enforcement units will be out on the roads too, to serve and protect, and that includes taking your behind to jail.

As I have said before, state troopers do not have a quota to fill, but they are expected to do their job no matter who you are or how important you think you are.

So, before you take drugs (illegal drugs), or ingest alcohol, stop and ponder the consequences because the eyes of the law will be upon you.

That’s all from the funny farm until next time.
