Bobby Ray Thompson, 71, of Cromona, died November 13 at Pikeville Medical Center.
Born at Big Show, he had worked as a supervisor at Adams Construction Company.
He was a son of the late Chester and Kathrine Smith Thompson, and was also preceded in death by three sisters, Evalyne Wilson, Peggy Furr, and Ernestine Baker, and a brother, Paul Thompson.
He is survived by his companion of 16 years, Barbara Cantrell; three daughters, Donna Desimone Marvelli, of Florida, Diane Caudill and husband Glenn, and Beth Gibson and husband Avery, all of McRoberts; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Derrick, Darren, Amber, Erin, David, and Kaylee; nine greatgrandchildren, Jasmine, Nevaeh, Kayla, Isabella, Tyler, Zachary, Emily, Julee, and Jonathan; three sisters, Linda Statzer, Michigan, Anna Roberts, California, and Lucy Stanley, Pound, Va.; and two brothers, Floyd Thompson, Pound, Va., and Ronnie Thompson, Cromona.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., November 15, at Carty Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
