Three Covid-19 cases linked to Hazard restaurantFree Access


Health officials are warning anyone who visited the Hazard Applebee’s restaurant Saturday, September 5 though

Saturday, September 12, they might have been exposed to Covid-19.
Three employees at the restaurant have had confirmed positive tests for SARS CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes Covid-19, according to the Kentucky River District Health Department.

“Please monitor your symptoms and should you develop a cough, fever, and/or shortness of breath call your primary care provider,” a statement issued by the department says.

Additional details about the positive cases cannot be provided because of medical privacy laws, KRDHD officials said. The department along with its epidemiology team are working with the Kentucky Department for Public Health (DPH) to identify and contact all those who may have come in contact with the infected employees.

The statement says that the management at Applebee’s is fully cooperating with the health department to ensure the health and safety of their employees and customers.
