Three more candidates have officially filed to run for county offices in the May Primary Election.
Letcher County Attorney Harold D. Bolling filed to run for reelection on the Democratic ticket. Former District Two Magistrate Terry Adams has filed to run for the Republican nomination to that office. Also filing last week was Brenda Williamson, who is seeking the office of magistrate in District One.
Those picking up papers recently from the Letcher Circuit Clerk’s office indicating they are contemplating running for office include Jerry Nantz, Andy Cates and Kenny Spangler, all who are showing interest in running for magistrate in District One. Kenneth Holbrook picked up papers to run for magistrate in District Five and Frank Gibson picked up papers indicating he may run for jailer.
Ancil Trivette and Gary Cook have both picked up papers to run for constable in District Two. Terry Perkins has shown interest in running for constable in District Four.
