Eight members of the new Three Rivers Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) in Whitesburg were present along with Dr. Larry Leslie and Gary Howard at a recent meeting in which approvals were obtained for the chapter name and its constitution and bylaws. Chapter officers were selected and signatures are being obtained to petition the Kentucky Society of Sons of the American Revolution for a charter. The next meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 19, in the fellowship hall at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church in Whitesburg. All interested men are invited to come and learn about genealogy and their connect to SAR.
