Time sure does fly

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well. It’s turned cold again after all the pretty days, but at least it’s not snowing.

We still have a lot of sick folks. I hope they will get better soon.

I appreciate all the cards and calls I got for my birthday. Bobbie Adams of Isom has the same birthday as mine. I think I’m a year older than she is. I was glad to hear from her.

I met her at Pine Mountain Grill a little while back. I hadn’t seen her in a long time. We were in high school together. It sure doesn’t seem like it was that long ago. I’m not saying how long. Time sure does fly.

I appreciated my real good friend Shirley Breeding’s card. She made it herself. She is so talented in so many things. If I ever find out what I’m good at I will probably be real good at it. Yeah, right!

Judy Dent in Michigan, it was good hearing from you. I’ll call you soon and we can talk.

I got my first Christmas card last week. It was from Ann (Miller) Vanderpool of Williamsburg. She’s a Marlowe girl. We try to keep in touch as much as we can. There are so many that are no longer with us.

I hope that everyone had a good Thanksgiving with their families. I’m sure about all of us overate.

I had a great Thanksgiving. I had breakfast at Pine Mountain Grill with Sandra and Billy and their grandchildren (my greatgrandchildren), and Sam and Ellie Mullins, and had dinner with Linda and Larry Hatton, Wendy and Kevin Day and sons Rocki and Larry Kevin, Chris and Sara and children Beau, Brooke and Gracie. It was a great dinner.

I still don’t think it’s right for daughters-in-law to cook better than their mother-in-law. I’ll have to have a talk with all of them . . . Whitesburg

Sunday I got back from visiting my son, Astor ‘Red’ Hatton and wife Rosemary in Georgetown. I spent three days and enjoyed every minute of it. I hadn’t seen their new home yet, and it’s beautiful.

While I was there, Rocki Hill and her daughter Elise visited, and I surely enjoyed that! I’ve had a great week. Now back to the real world. I enjoy that also.

It’s good to go and good to be back home. I was looking forward to going to church.

May God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere this week. Hopefully next week I can have more news.
