Tina Walters, Virgil Combs come home from hospital

My sympathy to the family of Don Bates of Letcher. He died Feb. 7. Don had cancer and had been sick for awhile.

Tina Walters of Blackey has recently been in Whitesburg Hospital. She was in for about a week with a bad infection. She got to come home Feb. 8.

Virgil Combs spent about a week also in WARH. He had problems with his blood pressure and his breathing. He came home the first of last week.

Happy birthday to Layne Henrikson of Carcassonne. He turned five on Feb. 14. He is the son of Misty and Adam Henrikson of Carcassonne, and the grandson of Doug and Edna Stamper of Crases Branch and Jon and Loretta Henrikson of Carcassonne.

Happy birthday to David Dixon of Carcassonne. It is on Feb. 22.

My sister Debbie Fugate of Carcassonne had outpatient surgery on Thursday at Pikeville Hospital.

She has been having a lot of pain in her elbow so they had to repair some tendons and work on a nerve that was causing the pain. She has to keep the bandage on for about two weeks then it will be a few more weeks before she can use it.

Tara Couch of Linefork had to have surgery in Lexington. They thought she had a kidney stone but it was instead a big mass that they sent off to have tested.

She is not doing well right now. She is the daughter of Roger and Dena Couch.

Bill Johnson of Woodrock came back from a hospital in Lexington and is in Pikeville now. He is having to take physical therapy and is glad to be closer to home.

Rosetta Back, formerly of Carcassonne, and her husband Tabby left for Myrtle Beach on Sunday. They go every year for a golfing trip along with about 68 other golfers in their group.

The men golf while the women go shopping and visit the beach. They are staying until next Sunday. They live in Tennessee now.
