Bettina Vanover and Dr. William Hagans, D.V.M., will be married June 15 at 4-Star Village in Redfox. The bride-elect is the daughter of Bettie Sue Vanover of Deane and the late Wiley Gerald Vanover. She is a graduate of Fleming-Neon High School and the University of Virginia-Wise and holds a master’s degree from Union College. She is a special education teacher and high school girls’ basketball coach at Cordia. The bridegroomelect is the son of Ludrenia Shepherd of Sassafras and the late William Paris Hagans. He is a graduate of Knott County Central High School, Berea College and Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is employed at Appalachian Animal Hospital in Hazard.
