TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT

— No one was injured Sunday when a mechanical failure caused the driver of this Chevrolet Cavalier to lose control of the automobile as he drove near the Mountain Breeze Apartments at Burdine. Jenkins Police Chief Jim Stephens said driver Jack Sturgill, shown standing beside the vehicle, had been working on the car for its owner, Sherry Hale. A steering failure caused Sturgill to lose control, said Stephens, adding that neither drugs, nor alcohol or speed factored into the accident. (Photo by Chris Anderson)
