Toy drive to help tornado victims



The office of Letcher County Judge/Executive Jim Ward is collecting new toys for tornado victims in Magoffin County.

Toys can be dropped off at the Blackey, Boonefork, Ermine, Jenkins, Kingscreek, Colson and Ovenfork senior citizens centers, which are open weekdays from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Letcher County Recreation Center is also designated as a drop off location for the toy drive. The rec center is open 1 to 7 p.m. on Sundays, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays.

Toys can also be dropped of at the county judge’s office, which is located in the Letcher County Courthouse. The office is open from weekdays from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
