Truman Jent, 77, died July 26 at his residence at Carcassonne.
A son of the late Tommy and Belle Bailey Jent, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Jent; four sisters, Mable Collins, Lillian Combs, Jessie Collins, and Margaret Jent; and a grandson, Johnathan Griffie.
Surviving are his wife, Lucille Rose Jent ; three sons, Evan Jent of Carcassonne, Christopher Jent of Somerset, and Truman B. Jent Jr. and wife Sheila of Hazard; a daughter, Fawn Adams and husband Doug of Somerset; three brothers, Raymond Jent and Beckham Jent, both of Blackey, and Crit Jent of Michigan; two sisters, Alice Combs of Redfox and Jossie Ison of Ohio; two grandchildren, Jatanna Griffie and Keshia Jent and Hubie Brock; and great-grandchildren, Dylan Halcomb, Savannah Halcomb, Emmaleigh Brock, Carmen Griffie, Gaige Brock, Lillie Brock, and Maddox Brock.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Little Bull Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Jent Cemetery at Carcassonne.
