We had a great time at First Baptist Church this weekend. We had church from Friday until Sunday afternoon. Dr. Rev. Bill Joe Brown from North Carolina spoke all weekend, and if you weren’t there you really missed a great time. There was a dinner Saturday night.

Laura Whitaker was in charge of the kitchen. I helped and loved it. There were two more there helping. I’ll just have to put their names in next week.

Hazel Watkins helped put the salt and pepper on the tables.

The choir really did a great job. We sounded really good. Debbie Frazier is our choir director.

The Shoebox Ministry starts Nov. 7.

We are having a Trunk or Treat in the First Baptist Church parking lot. People will be decorating their car trunks, along with themselves, and giving out candy on Halloween night.

We are having a fall festival at the church on Nov. 1 from 12 until 2 p.m.

I hope I’m telling this right, because I lost my paper somewhere. I had it all written down.

I had a great time all last week, helping at the Food Pantry. There were Shelia Cornett, Jo Champion on Tuesday, and Wednesday were Cheryl Hall, Shirley Breeding and Betty Watts, and Thursday were Judy Vermillion, Nena Blair, Valerie Ison, and Friday were Kendall Ison, Nena Blair, myself, and again, Judy Vermillion.

We missed Geraldine and Roger McDonald and Shirley and Buford. They were on vacation and forgot to take me. They had a great time.

Th elma Brown is home from the hospital and is doing well. Everyone remember her in your prayers, and remember Ann Adams, Mikel Caudill, and Renea Fields. All these people need prayer, and Tommy Watts.

We’ve had a few new neighbors move in up here at Paradise Cove and at the end of Bach Court. Nena Blair and I change the name on the end of the complex. Charles, Blair, Wade Adams, Chuck Crawford. I do believe we have the best living place around.

If I got any dates wrong, I’m sorry. But you can call our church secretary, 633- 2277, and she can give you the dates, I’m sure.

So, until next time, God bless.
