Twins celebrate 21st birthday

Regina Crawford attended the Oaks Race at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

Ramona Combs Finchum, son Forrester, and daughter Callie all went to Kroger’s Supermarket to watch the making of the garland of red roses for the Derby winter. They were given some rose petals in a pretty bag.

Happy birthdays to Yvonne Sutphin’s twin granddaughters, Jackie and Vickie Frome of Bedford, Va., on their 21st birthday, May 7. They both have beautiful, red hair.

Remember Dona Ison Walker of Naples, Fla., Jerry Hall of Ice, Anita Adkins of Las Vegas and Ashley Adkins, who recently joined the Army, in your prayers.

Bennett and Linda Combs’s son, David Combs, is running for sheriff .

Wesley Yonts and his friend, Allie, from Morehead, spent the weekend with his grandparents, Duane and Anna Yonts. They attended church at Mayking with them.

J.T. and Carol Caudill, Linda Lucas, Anna Yonts, Doris Banks and their aunt Virginia Brown had lunch at the Pine Mountain Grill last Saturday.

Ella Akers is spending the week with her grandparents, John and Barbara Banks. Ella’s sister, Callie, went on a school field trip last Friday. Ella is enjoying her visit with her grandparents, and enjoying her new kittens.

While on his way to Ohio for his work with the railroad, Jonathan Lucas stopped by to see his mom, Linda Lucas. They enjoyed having lunch and their brief visit together.

Last week Jonathan was invited to dinner with his cousin, Renee and Shawn Stevenson, and their children, Leah, Spencer and Audrey, in Columbus, Oh. The kids sent gifts to their Tennessee cousins, Aiden and Mason Lucas.

The Little Cowan Women’s Bible Study Group would like to say a big thanks to Robert Sword for his donation of items for our yard sale. Also, thanks to everyone who helped to make it a huge success.
