Hello to all senior citizens out there. Here’s hope everyone had a great Easter and the Easter Bunny brought you some goodies.
Tuesday of last week was our regular Bingo day and we had a great turnout for it. Some of our seniors played the Wii game and they are doing good. I think Betty Pike is beating them all. So come on, gals and guys, and give her some competition.
Last Wednesday we had our quilting ladies back. They finished Norma Toler’s quilt and put in Evelyn Caudill’s. Glad Norma is better and back quilting. Josephine Spangler came and quilted two days.
Thursday we had our Easter party and potluck. We had a great crowd, lots of visitors, but I won’t name them as I may forget someone. The ladies decorated their Easter hats, and Vina Lucas won for having the prettiest one. She got a big chocolate bunny. Betty Newman decorated a pretty hat but was late and she didn’t get to enter the contest. Sorry, Betty, but maybe next time.
Parkway Pharmacy donated a beautiful candle. It was won by Leroy Sexton. Pine Mountain Grill donated a $15 gift certificate won by Norma Toler. Joy Pease won the door prize. It was a huge rabbit.
We had all kinds of good food and desserts. Jim Craft, we missed you.
We have some trips planned for this month, one to the new high school for a play and going to Camp Nathanael. We are also going to the Colson Center for census.
So we’re on the go this month. All you senior citizens have fun.
