Happy birthday to Matthew Caudill of Letcher. It’s on the 24th. Winford Eldridge of Blackey has one the 25th, Greg Lynch on the 26th, and Kelly Caudill of Carcassonne on the 26th. She is the daughter of Greg and Della Caudill. Devin Blair has one on the 26th. He is the son of Manis and Cindy Blair of Elk Creek. Jai Miller of Blackey has one on the 30th and Gail Roark of Carcassonne also has one the 30th.
Virgil Combs of Carcassonne had to be put back in Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital on Friday. They wanted to hook him up to a vent, but he didn’t want that. He has congestive heart failure. They said his lungs and heart are weak and they are giving him medicine to keep him comfortable. I wish him the best.
My sister, Debbie Fugate of Carcassonne, had outpatient surgery last week in Hazard. She is doing well but having a lot of pain.
Baby Addie is home from a hospital in Lexington. She got out Thursday. She was rushed down last week because she stopped breathing. They said she had RSV. She is the daughter of Caitlin Bailey and Winston Lee. I’m so glad she is home and doing better.
Junior Adams of Whitesburg is still in Pikeville Hospital and is not doing too well. He is the father of Rita Gilley of Letcher.
Congratulations to Josh and Whitney Tyree of McRoberts on the birth of their first baby. Grayson Wesley Tyree was born on April 18. He weighed 7 pounds and was 19 inches long. The grandparents are Chester and Penny Johnson of McRoberts, Susan Tyree of Smoot Creek, and Jim and Julie Tyree of Emmalena. He had to be taken to Johnson City, Tenn., because his lungs had not fully developed. He was supposed to get released Sunday, they just wanted to make sure he was gonna be okay. I got to see pictures of him on Facebook and he is precious.
Two of my grandbabies, Kaydance and Kameran Tourangeau, left for Michigan on Saturday to spend a couple of weeks with the family up there. We sure do miss them when they leave.
My dad, Benson ‘Pnut’ Blair of Elk Creek, and Jimmy Bates of Whitesburg spent a few days in Tennessee. They go down and stay at Jimmy’s place at Cherokee Lake. They left Thursday and came back Saturday.
Roger Couch of Linefork has a birthday on the 22nd.
Happy anniversary to Matthew and Reanna Caudill. It was their 12th on April 22.
