Voris Taulbee, 80, died May 8 in Oxford, Ohio.
Born in Whitesburg to the late Lucinda and John Taulbee, he was a brother of the late Imogene Wilson, Vermell Banks, Tommy Taulbee, and Johnnie Lee Taulbee.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War, and was stationed at Kimpo Airbase in Korea. He was later stationed at Amarillo Air Force Base in Amarillo, Tex.
He was retired from Armco Steel Corp. in Middletown, Ohio, and served as a consultant for Quaker Chemical of Middletown.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Hamilton. Ohio.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; a daughter, Ann Taulbee and husband John Bystrom; a son, John Taulbee and wife Ellice; a sister, Nancy Simpson of Tollesboro; two brothers, Leonard Taulbee of Temecula, Calif., and Jim Taulbee of Mt. Vernon; and three granddaughters, Mary Kate Taulbee, Elisabeth Taulbee, and Margaret Taulbee.
