Wanda Belcher-Hudson succumbs

Wanda Belcher-Hudson, 60, of McRoberts, died September 21 at Pikeville Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Clayton and Mary Sparks and Arthor and Madolene Belcher, she was the widow of Charles Hudson.

She was a sister of the late E.J. Sparks, Bernard Sparks, Pearlie Sparks, Verlois Isaac and Imogene Tackett.

She was retired after over 25 years as an registered nurse, and was a past member of the Fleming-Neon Volunteer Fire Department.

She enjoyed planting flowers, cooking and watching hummingbirds.

Surviving are a son, Clayton Sexton, McRoberts; a daughter, Elizabeth Collier, McRoberts; a grandson, Jonathon; Tracy Tackitt of Jenkins and Brandi Hall, Wise, Va.; a sister, Brenda Taylor, Pikeville; and three brothers, David Belcher and wife Dixie, McRoberts, Charles Belcher, Jenkins, and Danny Belcher, North Carolina.

Funeral services were held Sept. 25 at Carty Funeral Home in Neon. Burial was in the Sparks family cemetery.
