We’re all South Carolina fans now …







… that is, unless the Gamecocks and the Kentucky Wildcats are both fortunate enough to win in the Sweet 16 portion of the NCAA Men’s Tournament this weekend and advance to the Final Four in Phoenix on April 1. Figger, son of Patty Figger, a nurse at Mountain Comprhensive Health Corporation’s Whitesburg Medical Clinic, helped guide the No. 7-seeded Gamecocks to an 88- 81 win over Duke last Sunday, which qualifi es them to take on No. 3 seed Baylor in the first round of the East Regional in New York City on Friday. The game will be televised on TBS beginning at 7:29 p.m. Meanwhile, Kentucky won a close one against Wichita State on Sunday (65-62), and advances to meet UCLA in the South Regional in Memphis.
