The City of Whitesburg and the Kids Day Committee are hosting a “Christmas in Our Hometown” event on Dec. 10.
The Christmas Parade will start at 5 p.m. on Main Street. Santa Claus will be on the James W. Bates Bridge at the free city parking lot at 6 p.m. Treats will be given to children.
A live Nativity scene, petting zoo and camel rides will be located at the parking lot. Horse and wagon rides will begin in front of the Letcher County Veterans Memorial Museum. Pony rides and a Santa train will also be available at the event.
Downtown businesses will serve cookies, hot chocolate or other treats.
