Whitesburg, Riverside to sponsor ‘safe night’

The City of Whitesburg and Riverside Days recently announced their sponsorship of Whitesburg’s first annual Halloween Safe Night at Riverside Park. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 31, from 5 until 8 p.m.

The city is encouraging parents to bring their kids to trickor treat in a safe and fun environment with businesses they know and trust.

In addition to candy, there will be hay rides available for kids, a pumpkin decorating/carving contest, as well as free hot chocolate, apple cider and popcorn, which will be provided by the festival committee.

All Letcher County business owners and organizations are invited to bring a table and attend this annual event.
